The Rotary Club of Renfrew has made significant contributions to Hospice Renfrew over the years. Our own Art Dick (now passed) was very active in bringing this service to Renfrew. It has been a very worthwhile project to give residents of Renfrew and surrounding area the chance to spend their final days in a homelike setting. https://www.hospicerenfrew.ca/about-us/history/ Hospice Renfrew was the first rural residential hospice in Ontario and precisely built to Hospice Palliative Care standards. Hospice took its first resident in 2008.
We are able to continue to support the ongoing costs of hospice in part from funds received through our affiliation Delta Bingo and Gaming in Pembroke .
